RESPONSIVE VISUALISATION
TOOL DEVELOPMENT

Year:   2023
Role:   Design, Dev & Strategy

This adaptive and interactive project visualisation tool is utilised to communicate the 24hr cycle of a circadian lighting system, with technical overlays per user preference.

Developed to the objectives of the ‘Lightstudy’ Design Communication service initiative, this tool seeks to provide improved access and understanding of contemporary lighting systems to support informed decision making across project developer and wider professional design communities.

Adaptable to general scene setting or highly dynamic, effects-driven installations, this tool and methodology aim to reduce the gap between industry standard visual communication and the expansive capabilities of contemporary lighting equipment - focused to a greater realisation of physiologically, psychologically and environmentally beneficial lighting solutions.

The demonstrated application comprises three key project ‘scenes’ extracted from a full circadian cycle. An interface provides user access to explore the proposed interior lighting system functionality in direct relation to exterior, natural light conditions. Optional overlays can be toggled to provide additional technical context per user requirement. Interior, exterior and photometric visualisations enable qualitative and quantitative lighting design analysis.

The responsive visualisation tool is developed to scale and adapt to a broad range of projects and data requirements. For more information please enquire via the contact options provided.
